The Dallas Fort Worth Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (FAST) was established to help local law enforcement track down and capture violent fugitives. The U.S. Marshals Service takes the lead in an organization that includes federal, state, county and city law enforcement agencies. Since its inception in January 2004, DFW FAST has arrested more than 4,500 violent fugitives. Approximately 90 percent of the subjects arrested by DFW FAST are wanted for violent offenses or have a criminal history of violence, drugs or weapons offenses.
